Do like the Greeks do

Hi y'all,

With the semester in full swing, I find myself with little personal "me" time. Hence the no posting.

Anyway, rather than letting school and research consume my life (and sanity), I've decided to put some time away during the week for my beloved hobbies. My hope is that will translate to more frequent posting, but we'll see. Regardless, this decision could not have come at a better time, for behold, the object of my affection:
Love.
What an adorable summer-y knit, no? All the little details (e.g., the dolman sleeves, the garter-stitch belt, the cowl) add up to way more than the sum of their parts, creating a fresh knit for warm weather. Apparently this knit is named after an ancient Greek style of dress:

One can totally see the resemblance, right?
As soon as I found this gem in the new Knitscene, I bought the yarn for it (Knitpicks CotLin, which I haven't used before) and cast on:

So far the yarn has been easy to knit with and I've found no pilling or strain on the hands. We'll see how it continues. I'm also trying to complete a couple of other knits I've started a while back, like my Aestlight shawl and a couple of pairs of socks. Let's hope I keep my knitting train rolling!
