Castiel by Woolly Wormhead
Needle: size 4 and 5
Yarn: Rowan Calmer, Blush
Skeins: 1
Size: 21 inches circumference
This is a beautiful, easy-to-memorize pattern. The lace pattern is comprised of a set of 4 rows. Easy-peasy. The pattern indicated to knit the lace section until 7.5 inches long, but I stopped at 7. I think it's alright, considering that lace stretches and I used a cotton-based yarn. Otherwise, I followed the pattern to the letter.
The yarn is fantastic. I think it's discontinued, which is a shame really. The color is bright, the yarn is soft and sproing-y. I'd say it's a heavy dk or light-weight worsted. I'm going to attempt to get my hands on and hoard more of this yarn, Smaug-style.
Overall, this was a great, super-quick knit. I'd definitely wear this on days when the temperature is a little warmer than the sub-arctic temperatures we've been currently experiencing in NYC.
I have plenty more projects on the needles, but...I don't know. I've been experiencing a bit of a knitting slump. I need to find something that will get my creative juices flowing. Any recommendations?
