I've got an excuse!

Wow. 4 months have passed since I last wrote.

Not surprising.

I have legitimate excuses though! Honest! OK, so here's what's new:

1. I got a job! I'm a postdoctoral fellow, studying differences in neurocognitive profiles in psychosis disorders. I really like my job, and have been learning so much. My primary responsibilities includes statistical analysis of pre-collected data, and writing up articles for publication. Perhaps this is one reason why I don't write for a hobby (and why I've neglected my blog): my job is writing intensive, and I have little desire to keep it up outside of work. But things come in waves, so I think I'll keep my blog up in case the mood strikes me to write, and to have a place to document my knitting. Which brings me to...

2. I've fallen off the knitting wagon. Sad face. I do have a new pattern I'm currently working on, though. Let's see when I get to wrap it up. Fingers crossed.

3. I found a new apartment! I'm so excited about this place. It's a tiny studio, but it's all mine. I spend most of my weekends doing housework and decorating. I still have so much left to do.

4. I'm still keeping up with my beloved muay thai. Although I'm currently frustrated with my lack of progress, and the fact that I keep getting repeatedly injured in the exact same places. I know I must be doing something wrong, but I haven't yet been able to figure it out. Just got to push through to reach the next level in my training. On a positive note, my gym hired a new coach, and he's great. I'm a huge fan of his fighting style: fast, tricky, and evasive. A very intelligent fighter. If I only had a little of his talent...

That's basically it. I'll be popping in and out, most likely to write up some of my knitting projects. Otherwise, so busy!
