Wishing you all health and safety in these troubling times.
I've had the luxury of being able to self-quarantine and work from home. I am truly lucky.
As such, I've been able to dedicate a bit of time to work on my knitting projects which have been languishing for years.
But first, a finished project from a recently published pattern:
My Little Secret Crop by Jessie Maed
Needle Size: 5
Yarn: Naturally Caron Spa, Ocean Spray
Size: Small
This is a truly genius pattern. Quick, intuitive, and a great stash-buster. I didn't edit the pattern in any way, except I added about an inch to the body length before I bound off for the arm-holes. My straps were the recommended 10 inches in length, and I used the Kitchener method to graft them to the body.
Many thanks to the designer for gifting us this pattern to use during our mandatory at-home time-out!
I used a little under one skein of Naturally Caron Spa. I was gifted this yarn more than 10 years ago, and had tried numerous patterns with it but was not successful in producing something.
The yarn is very soft and it will be lovely to wear, but as others have said, it is quite splitty. Also, it's not twisted tightly so as you knit the strand starts to unravel and you're knitting with 6 yarn strands. It's weird. No matter really, since the yarn is discontinued.
I highly recommend this pattern. It's super quick and fulfilling to knit, and you get a cute, super-comfy little top that will get much wear. Now to complete my many works-in-progress.
Stay safe and be well,
LH
